World oil prices today
World gasoline and oil prices simultaneously increased in the first morning session of the week. At 6:55 am (Vietnam time), WTI oil price was at 84.66 USD/barrel, up 1.26 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.51%. WTI oil price closed the previous trading session at 83.40 USD/barrel, and opened today's session at 84.60 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 89.54 USD/barrel, up 1.26 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.43%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 88.28 USD/barrel, and opened today's session at 90.07 USD/barrel.
World oil prices surged as markets feared tensions in the Middle East could affect oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.
The increase appeared after the US attack on Iranian launchers on Larak Island, in the Hoarmuz Strait area.
Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts to promote the reopening of this maritime route are still being implemented. Iran is said to be building a list of conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, after Pakistan and Qatar promoted contacts with Tehran.
Previously, Iran also put forward a number of conditions related to reopening the maritime route, including the request to end the conflict in the region and resolve issues related to sanctions.
The flow of ships through the Strait of Hormuz is still low. Oil flow through this important maritime route has not returned to normal, causing concerns about the risk of supply disruption to continue dominating the market, especially in the event of escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may decrease.
In which:
- E10 gasoline reduced by about 0-50 VND/liter
- E5 RON 92 - II gasoline reduced by about 0-50 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil decreased by about 1,500 VND/liter.
