World oil price today
World oil prices today fell sharply. At 11:40, WTI crude oil was at 70.03 USD/barrel, down 1.68 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.34%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 71.71 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 70.19 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 73.31 USD/barrel, down 1.64 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.19%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 74.95 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 73.72 USD/barrel.
World oil prices today recorded a sharp decrease. At the end of the trading session on April 2, Brent oil prices decreased by 0.6%, while WTI oil decreased by 0.7%. In this morning's session, both oil products continued to plummet.
According to analysts, the crude oil market fluctuated strongly after the US announced a new counterpart tax rate. Reuters said that in yesterday's trading session, oil prices fluctuated, especially falling sharply during the press conference of US President Donald Trump, when he announced the imposition of tariffs on a number of trading partners. In recent days, oil prices have fluctuated continuously but the range of fluctuations is not large.
Experts say Mr. Trump's tariff policies could push up inflation, slow economic growth and increase trade tensions - factors that can curb oil price's increase.

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of March 27, 2025. Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 337 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 337 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 406 VND/liter, diesel increased by 324 VND/liter. Only mazut oil decreased by 53 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. Over the past week, world oil prices continued to increase, according to this development, in the domestic gasoline price management period this afternoon, retail gasoline prices may increase sharply.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 510 VND/liter; E5 gasoline increases by about 390 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 270 VND/liter.
