World oil price today
World oil prices today turned to decrease sharply. At 10:45 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 67.01 USD/barrel, down 0.44 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.65%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 67.45 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 67.42 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 68.63 USD/barrel, down 0.0m.49 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.71%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 69.11 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 69.14 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices reversed and decreased after a strong increase. At the end of yesterday's trading session (September 2), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 3.1% and 3%, respectively.
According to analysts, world oil prices increased sharply in yesterday's session after Iran's announcement of suspending cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and a positive signal from the trade agreement between Vietnam and the United States.

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the joint venture of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade since 0:00 on July 1, after the policy of reducing 2% of value added tax under Resolution No. 204/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly officially took effect.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by 101 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 128 VND/liter; diesel price increased by 193 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 141 VND/liter; mazut decreased by 668 VND/kg compared to the previous period.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon, retail prices of gasoline may decrease sharply.
Of which, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 1,270 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 1,180 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 9500 VND/liter
