On the morning of June 24, the Hanoi International Energy - Environmental Technology Fair 2026 (ENTECH HANOI 2026) opened at the I.C.E Hanoi International Exhibition Center. Within the framework of the event, the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) organized the "Green Booth - Energy Saving" program in 2026.
A noteworthy point is that the program does not just stop at an exhibition activity at the fair. According to the plan, in 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will organize 25 Green - Energy Saving Booths nationwide, mainly in three major centers: Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. The first booth is located at ENTECH HANOI 2026, thereby opening a series of communication activities, connecting and promoting energy saving practices in production, business and life.

In the context of rapidly increasing energy demand and increasing pressure on electricity supply, especially during peak hot months, energy saving is no longer a simple encouraging message. This has become a development requirement. If technology is not changed, electricity use is not changed, and green consumption habits are not formed, the goal of green transition and low-carbon economic development will be very difficult to become practical.
From that perspective, the Green Booth is meaningful as a "touch point" between policy and people, between technology and the market. Here, visitors not only see energy-saving products, but also access typical solutions, models, and technologies on energy efficiency in industry, construction and daily life. The booth also introduces products with the highest energy efficiency certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
This approach is necessary because for a long time, energy saving has often been talked about at the slogan level, but people and small businesses lack specific information to act. A household wanting to replace energy-saving electrical appliances needs to know which products are reliable. A manufacturing facility wanting to reduce electricity costs needs to know where to start. A business wanting to transition green needs technology, partners, consulting and appropriate models. Green booths, if organized effectively, can help shorten that gap.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of ENTECH HANOI 2026, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luu - Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee - said that implementing Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW dated August 20, 2025 of the Politburo on ensuring national energy security to 2030, vision to 2045, Hanoi City Party Committee and City People's Committee have issued implementation plans to concretize goals, tasks, and solutions suitable to the actual conditions of the Capital.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luu, as the national political and administrative center and driving force for the country's development, Hanoi identifies green transformation, energy transition and low-carbon economic development as an inevitable requirement, and also an important driving force to improve the quality of growth and competitiveness of the economy.
In 2026, the city strives to save energy from 1.6% to 1.8% compared to forecast demand; save at least 3% of total electricity consumption and at least 10% of electricity in hot peak months. At the same time, continue to encourage the development of self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power; promote the application of advanced technology in energy management and use" - Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luu emphasized.
These figures show that energy saving has been quantified by specific goals, instead of just stopping at calls. The issue is how to turn those goals into action in each agency, business, industrial park, building, household. This is also why activities such as ENTECH HANOI 2026 and Green Booths need to be seen as tools to promote the energy-saving technology market, not just communication activities.
ENTECH HANOI 2026 has a scale of more than 250 booths of 200 domestic and international businesses. With the theme "Innovation - Green Transformation", the fair displays and introduces solutions and technologies applying digital transformation, artificial intelligence, IoT in energy management and use. Besides, there are technologies on new energy, renewable energy, energy storage, green transportation and solutions to reduce environmental pollution.
This reflects an important trend: energy saving cannot only be based on "turning off" or "using less", but must be based on technology, management and data. A factory that wants to save electricity sustainably needs an intelligent energy management system. A building that wants to reduce energy consumption needs high-performance equipment, sensors, automation and appropriate operating procedures. A city that wants to reduce emissions needs to simultaneously develop renewable energy, green transportation, digital infrastructure and green consumption.
Within the framework of the fair, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Innovation Department under the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Busan City government of Korea to organize the Vietnam Energy Transition Forum 2026. This is a place for managers, experts, scientists and businesses to exchange views on energy transition trends in the world and in Vietnam, government policies, opportunities and challenges of Hanoi in green growth, as well as international energy transition experiences.
The combination of exhibitions, in-depth forums and Green Booths shows a more comprehensive approach: both popularizing technology, connecting businesses, promoting policies, and raising community awareness. This is very necessary, because green transformation is only successful when there is simultaneous participation of the State, businesses and consumers.
After the opening point in Hanoi, the Green Booth will continue to be present at the Rural Industrial Products Exhibition Fair, held at Da Nang Exhibition Fair Center from July 1 to July 5, 2026. The series of 25 booths nationwide is expected to create a spreading effect, bringing the message of energy saving to many localities, businesses and communities.
ENTECH HANOI 2026 takes place from June 24 to 26 at I.C. E Hanoi International Exhibition Center, No. 91 Tran Hung Dao, Cua Nam ward, Hanoi City. But the meaning of the event is not only in the three days of the fair. More importantly, from the booths, forums and connections here, energy saving solutions must be put into practice. Green booths should therefore be seen as a specific step to turn awareness into action, turning energy saving goals into daily choices for businesses and people.
