As the main unit providing and operating first and last legs to connect traffic for the Hanoi Metro line, starting from February 27, Grab launched a series of incentives to support people to experience the Metro seamlessly and economically.
Accordingly, from 4am to 10:30pm on February 27, 2025 to March 27, 2025, passengers can enter the code METROHN to receive a 50% discount, up to a maximum of VND 30,000 for GrabBike/GrabCar trips with destinations or pick-up points at Hanoi Metro stations.
After this time, Grab will continue to accompany Metro Hanoi with the METROHN promotion code discounted by 20% in the time frame from 4am to 10:30pm, a maximum discount of 30,000 VND for each GrabBike/GrabCar trip with a destination or pick-up point at Hanoi Metro stations.
These discount activities are part of a two-year cooperation agreement between Grab (Grab Vietnam) and Hanoi Railway Company Limited (HMC) held on February 26.
The goal of the agreement is to contribute to the management and development of transportation and the development of services and products for smart transportation in Hanoi, thereby contributing more to the achievements and development of urban railway lines in Vietnam.
At the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, Mr. Khuat Viet Hung - Chairman of Hanoi Railway Company Limited believes that not only Hanoi Metro but also Grab - growth in revenue or market share is not a prerequisite goal, but customer satisfaction in particular and the development of the country's green transportation system in general are the goals we aim for.
"Today's cooperation will be an important milestone in building a green future, a safe - convenient - environmentally friendly transportation system and sustainable development" - Mr. Hung said.
Within the framework of cooperation, HURC1 and Grab Vietnam focus on four key areas, with the common goal of encouraging people to use Metro as their daily means of transportation.
First is communication to increase traffic and improve user experience when using Hanoi Metro.
Second is to promote access to and use of Hanoi Metro in the community.
Third is learning, sharing experiences and professional knowledge between the parties.
The fourth focus is to build and implement activities to raise awareness and encourage people to use public transport
Mr. Alejandro Osorio, CEO of Grab Vietnam, said he was honored to become an official partner of HMC to provide first and last trips to connect the travel journey for the people of the capital.
"Through communication activities actively implemented by both sides, we believe that more people will combine the use of Hanoi Metro with GrabCar and GrabBike services to make travel more convenient and economical.
More importantly, by seamlessly connecting Grab buses with Metro stations, we can reduce the number of vehicles traveling on the road, increase traffic efficiency, thereby contributing to the development of public transport" - Mr. Alejandro Osorio said.
In the coming time, Grab will continue to take advantage of its technological capacity and platform strength to not only make the public transport system more and more accessible and convenient for all Vietnamese people, but also actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
