On the morning of March 11, within the framework of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Vietnam Coffee - Cocoa Association to organize the "international Trade Conference - Connecting, Raising the level of Vietnamese coffee", attracting more than 800 delegates to attend.
According to the General Department of Customs of Vietnam, Dak Lak is the largest coffee producing center in the country, with an export output of 264,404 tons in the 2023-2024 crop year, accounting for 17.9% of Vietnam's total coffee exports, equivalent to nearly 916 million USD.
Despite many achievements, the Vietnamese coffee industry in general and Dak Lak in particular still face challenges from climate change, market fluctuations and international standards such as the European Anti- Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee - emphasized: "The conference aims to enhance the value and international position of Vietnamese coffee, support businesses in connecting trade, promoting products and brands, bringing coffee to new heights".

Mr. Vu Ba Phu - Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) - also affirmed: "With more than 100 years of tradition of cultivation and processing infrastructure development, Dak Lak has the potential to become a center for the production of specialty Robusta coffee."
The conference gathered experts, businesses and managers to discuss market trends, standards for growing, exporting and sustainable development.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade expects the event to promote trade, investment and tourism linkages, making Buon Ma Thuot a "Destination for World Coffee".
