On April 8, in Dong Ninh Hoa ward (Khanh Hoa), HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HVS) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of pier No. 4.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Jin Sang Ho - General Director of HVS said that wharf No. 4 was deployed to meet the needs of expanding production, aiming to build 23 new ships per year.

According to the design, the project has a length of 280m, a total investment of 350 billion VND, and a expected construction time of 12 months. When completed, the total length of HVS's wharf will reach 1,630m.
HVS leaders emphasized that the construction of wharf No. 4 is not simply an expansion of infrastructure but also has special significance as this is the first port expansion project after 30 years of formation and development of the enterprise in Khanh Hoa.
The project is expected to improve the ability to receive ships, and at the same time become a material gathering area, contributing to increasing production efficiency and flexibility in operation.
This is also identified as a strategic investment item, helping HVS consolidate its position in the global shipbuilding industry.

In the process of implementation, the General Director of HVS requested relevant units to put safety, quality and progress factors first, ensuring that the project is implemented according to plan, without labor accidents occurring.
He also called on the collective of workers to promote the pioneering spirit, adapt to the changes of the shipbuilding industry, thereby creating new development opportunities for businesses.
According to the plan, in 2026, HVS will order 17 ships and hand over 12 ships with an installation volume of 159.8 thousand tons.
Currently, HVS has more than 5,000 employees, according to the agreement signed between the trade union and the company's leaders in 2026, the enterprise will increase the basic salary for employees by 10%, and reward achievements of 25 million VND/person.
