Hanoi considers relocating and clearing Nha Xanh and Cau Giay markets
Hanoi City People's Committee said it will consider relocating and clearing Nha Xanh market in Cau Giay associated with the project to expand Phan Van Truong street according to the plan. This proposal stems from voters' concerns about the risk of fire safety, environmental pollution, urban unsightliness and traffic congestion around the market area.
Currently, Nha Xanh market is a grade 3 market located in the city's market network plan, playing the role of providing essential goods for people, students and creating livelihoods for many small traders.
During the time before the road expansion project is implemented, local authorities are required to continue to strictly manage the operation of the market, ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting, and handle the situation of encroachment on roads and sidewalks.
According to the People's Committee of Cau Giay ward, the locality currently has no suitable land fund to build a new market or arrange temporary business locations for small traders. See more...
