On June 15, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province announced the selection of an asset auction organization to auction the right to exploit 2 stone quarries in the province.
According to Notice No. 274, the two mining areas selected for auction organization include Lang Lanh III stone quarry in Luc Yen commune and Tan Linh - Yen The stone quarry in Tan Linh and Luc Yen communes.
In which, Lang Lanh III stone quarry has an area of 284.04ha, expected reserves of more than 71.19 million m3. The deposit is equal to 30% of the mineral exploitation rights price estimated according to the starting price, equivalent to more than 74.7 billion VND. The expected starting price is 1%, the price step is 6%.
Tan Linh - Yen The stone quarry has an area of 31.66ha, expected reserves of nearly 7.94 million m3. The deposit amount is more than 8.8 billion VND. The expected starting price is 1%, the price step is 6%.
Thus, the total deposit amount for the 2 mining areas is expected to reach more than 83 billion VND. Both areas currently do not have mineral exploration documents.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province said that auction practice organizations participating in the selection must fully meet the conditions according to the provisions of law on property auction and be responsible for the accuracy of the registration dossier.
Application submission time is from June 15 to the end of June 17, 2026 at the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment.
