On December 3, the Management Board of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone announced a list of investment invitations for the Raw Water Pumping Station Project and water pipeline from the downstream of Xuan Duong Lake to the water supply plant of the Tho Loc Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment, Construction and Business Project (phase 1).
According to the announcement, the project has a total area of 817 m2 in Tan Chau commune, with a designed capacity of 12,000 m3/day. The items include a water collection project, a raw water pumping station, a transformer station and a HDPE DN400 raw water pipeline about 3.2 km long, bringing water from Xuan Duong Lake to the Tho Loc Industrial Park water supply plant. The project is expected to be constructed in 6 months and operate for 50 years.
Tho Loc Industrial Park, invested by VSIP Nghe An Company Limited, was approved in principle by the Prime Minister in February 2023. The project is 500 hectares wide, including phase 1 with 300.2 hectares and phase 2 with 199.8 hectares, with a total investment of more than VND 3,826 billion, aiming to attract supporting industry enterprises, processing - manufacturing, clean industry and modern technology.
According to Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, in 2025, Nghe An's investment attraction will continue to change positively. In October 2025 alone (as of October 30), the province approved investment policies and issued Investment Registration Certificates for 7 new projects with a total capital of more than VND 2,427 billion; adjusted 21 projects, of which 5 increased capital with a total increase of more than VND 718 billion. Total newly granted and increased investment capital reached more than VND 3,145 billion.
In the first 10 months of 2025, Nghe An has approved and issued Investment Registration Certificates for 63 projects, with a total capital of nearly VND13,760 billion; adjusted 168 projects, with 47 capital increases with more than VND23,279 billion. Total newly granted and adjusted capital reached VND 37,039 billion.
Notably, FDI capital continues to account for a large proportion. In 10 months, the province has newly granted 19 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of 301.9 million USD and adjusted the capital increase for 15 projects with 675.3 million USD. The total new and increased FDI capital is approximately 1 billion USD.
