Dumping E10 gasoline at Nghia Tan gas station (Hoang Quoc Viet, Nghia Do), Mr. Pham Minh Khoi said that the price of E10 RON95 gasoline is somewhat cheaper than RON95-III mineral gasoline.
I always wanted to contribute to environmental protection, so when I heard that E10 gasoline was officially piloted from August 1, I decided to try it immediately. Although the price of E10 gasoline is higher than E5 gasoline, I still agree to pay the additional cost because this is a necessary step towards a greener, more sustainable future" - Mr. Khoi said.
As one of the first people to experience E10 gasoline at Thai Thinh Construction Agency (Dong Da, Hanoi), Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hien said: After filling E10 gasoline for transportation, I realized that there was no big difference in performance or performance compared to RON95 gasoline. If E10 gasoline really helps save fuel to protect the environment even if I have to pay more than E5 gasoline, I will accept it for long-term benefits".
According to PVOIL representative, in the past time, PVOIL has urgently implemented processes and procedures for upgrading and converting to meet regulations on technology, legal basis, and infrastructure to be determined to pilot the E10 RON95 gasoline business as planned.
At the pilot projects in Hanoi and Hai Phong, PVOIL has converted the previous E5 RON92 gasoline points to sell E10 RON95 gasoline and still ensured the business of RON95 gasoline and other products. During the pilot period, investors proactively grasp customer feedback on product quality and related issues" - PVOIL representative emphasized.
Upgrading infrastructure, ensuring adequate Ethanol supply
PVOIL representative informed on the morning of August 1, in preparation for the roadmap to put E10 gasoline into mandatory use from January 1, 2026, PVOIL is upgrading and renovating PVOIL's current E5 RON92 gasoline mixing stations at strategic warehouses across the country, meeting the demand for E10 gasoline business. PVOIL will continue to closely coordinate with PVN member units, such as Binh Son Oil Refinery and Nghi Son Oil Refinery to ensure the output of mineral gasoline products, while ensuring a stable supply of Ethanol, optimizing costs and ensuring output to meet market demand. At the same time, PVOIL also focuses on training and preparing highly qualified technical human resources to effectively operate the E10 gasoline production system. Projects to upgrade, prepare infrastructure for E10 gasoline processing and distribution will generate costs for PVOIL, but as a large unit in the current market, PVOIL is determined to join hands with the Government to ensure the development of green, clean energy in the Vietnamese market - PVOIL representative emphasized.
It is expected that in August 2025, PVOIL will process the processing for customers who are unit enterprises and retail E10 RON95 gasoline in the Central region.
In the context of Vietnam promoting the implementation of commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop sustainable energy according to the Prime Minister's commitment to reduce net emissions to 0 by 2050 at the COP26 Conference (2021), the use of biofuel is becoming an inevitable trend.
E10 gasoline - including 10% of bio-fused Pethanol with 90% mineral gasoline - is considered a feasible solution to reduce CO2 emissions, promote the agricultural sector Pethanol and diversify energy supply. According to the Government's roadmap, E10 will gradually replace mineral gasoline in the market, not only to comply with legal regulations but also as an important turning point in the process of building a green economy with net zero emissions by 2050.
