According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh - Deputy Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Ninh Thuan province, the province is gradually affirming its position on the map of OCOP products nationwide with more than 270 products meeting the standards of 3 stars or more, of which 42 products have achieved 4 stars and 228 products have achieved 3 stars. These figures reflect the continuous efforts of local production facilities, cooperatives, and enterprises in improving quality, design, and competitiveness in the market.
In the context of businesses facing many difficulties, especially with the export market affected by geopolitical and economic factors in the world, focusing on exploiting the domestic market with a scale of nearly 100 million people is a strategic direction.
With that vision, Ninh Thuan Province Product Connection and Introduction Week 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City - the largest economic, financial and commercial center in the country is an important event, not only in promoting the local image but also contributing to bringing the province's OCOP products to urban consumers, distributors and potential investors.
This year's event took place from June 13-19 in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of more than 20 typical units and enterprises from Ninh Thuan. Hundreds of unique products imbued with local identity such as grapes, apples, garlic, traditional fish sauce, bird's nest, herbs, processed agricultural products, handicrafts... were introduced at the event.
In particular, innovative, environmentally friendly and health-saving products also attract the attention of urban consumers. All are invested in quality, packaging and clear traceability to meet modern consumption trends.
The program does not only support trade promotion but also aims at the long-term goal of building close regional linkages, creating a sustainable development ecosystem, contributing to realizing the goal of inclusive and harmonious growth between key economic regions.
Mr. Tran Phu Lu - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) commented: "In the context of many businesses facing difficulties in the consumer market, especially when the export market is being affected by new tax policies from the US, exploiting the domestic market well is an important direction. This week of connecting not only helps promote Ninh Thuan's products but is also a step to concretize the cooperation commitment between the two localities".
In the long term, ITPC will continue to coordinate with the South Central Coast provinces to organize many trade and investment promotion activities in Ho Chi Minh City, especially after the merger with provinces such as Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. This is considered a key economic region in the South with a large market size, high purchasing power and a springboard for local products to expand their presence nationwide.
