On the occasion of an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, on November 22, a high-ranking delegation of the Korean National Assembly led by Mr. Woo Won Shik - Chairman of the Korean National Assembly - visited and worked in Ninh Binh.
Speaking at the reception and working session with the high-ranking delegation of the Korean National Assembly, Mr. Dang Xuan Phong - Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee - expressed his joy and excitement at welcoming President of the Korean National Assembly Woo Won Shik and the working delegation to visit and work in Ninh Binh province.
In the past 5 years, this is the 3rd time the high-ranking delegation of the Korean National Assembly has visited Ninh Binh. This shows the good relationship between Vietnam and Korea. The visits have contributed to affirming Ninh Binh's position and enhancing its image in the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Korea, opening up many opportunities for extensive cooperation in various fields in the coming time.
Ninh Binh Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong said that in recent years, many Korean enterprises have invested in production and business in Ninh Binh province. Currently, there are 218 investment projects by Korean investors in the province with a total investment capital of nearly 2.7 billion USD, accounting for 18.76% of the total FDI capital in Ninh Binh province.
The projects have been implemented very effectively, operating stably, contributing to solving employment for local workers, increasing budget revenue and actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
In foreign relations, Ninh Binh province and localities of Korea such as Asan city, Gyeonggi province, Jecheon city, Dongducheon have signed cooperation agreements, enhanced exchanges, delegation exchanges, and cooperation in many fields.
Ninh Binh province has more than 3,000 seasonal workers working in Korea, more than 100 provincial officials are also trained in the agricultural sector in Korea...
Ninh Binh Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong hopes that in the coming time, Ninh Binh province will continue to receive the attention of the Korean Government in promoting and strengthening cooperation and investment interest of Korean enterprises in the fields of high-tech industry, green agriculture, culture, and tourism associated with heritage.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Woo Won Shik - Chairman of the National Assembly of Korea - shared that Ninh Binh province is a very familiar locality to Korea, a province that holds an important position in development cooperation relations with Korean localities.
In recent times, Ninh Binh province has attracted many Korean enterprises to invest and develop key industrial products, including the automobile supporting industry. Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Automobile Manufacturing Joint Stock Company (under Thanh Cong Group) is a typical example of this successful cooperation.
Chairman of the National Assembly of Korea Woo Won Shik said that in the coming time, he will make efforts to help Korean enterprises continue to invest in Ninh Binh. At the same time, he expressed his hope that Korean enterprises operating in Ninh Binh will continue to receive attention, support and facilitation from the locality, especially when facing difficulties and needing support and guidance.
Chairman of the National Assembly of Korea Woo Won Shik also suggested that Ninh Binh province focus on promoting consular cooperation to ensure full legitimate rights and create a safe and convenient environment for Korean tourists when visiting and traveling in the locality.
At the same time, encourage the enhancement of people-to-people exchanges and cultural exchanges to further strengthen friendship and understanding between the two peoples.
