Petrovietnam's prompt affection for the people in difficulty
In early November 2025, relief trucks filled with the affection of workers of the Vietnam National Group of Industry and Energy (Petrovietnam) rolled up carrying rice, bottled clean water, gifts... to localities that suffered heavy damage due to natural disasters, floods such as Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri.
Behind the trucks departs right in the flood, there is a touching story about the spirit of mutual love and support, about the meaning of compatriots in times of trouble.
On November 1, 2025 (Saturday), all Petrovietnam employees volunteered to work overtime on holidays to reserve funds to support those in difficult circumstances and those affected by natural disasters and floods.
In the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Da Nang, through the local Fatherland Front agency, Petrovietnam has donated 8 billion VND, 10 tons of rice and 2,000 bottled clean water produced by PVOil, a member unit of Petrovietnam, to the people of the two provinces and cities (Da Nang received 5 billion VND, 5 tons of rice and 1,000 boxes of water; Quang Ngai received 3 billion VND, 5 tons of rice and 1,000 boxes of water).
Petrovietnam will continue to immediately deploy support to the people of Hue and Quang Tri provinces, which are also localities that suffered heavy damage due to floods.
Sharing with the people affected and damaged by the recent floods in the Central region, Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group - emphasized that in all circumstances, Petrovietnam always tries to fulfill its production and business tasks well, while giving practical attention to the community.
We consider supporting and sharing with people in disaster areas as a responsibility and also a sentiment of the Petrovietnam collective for the country. Support for the Central provinces affected by natural disasters is immediately deployed to promptly share difficulties and support local people to quickly stabilize their lives" - Mr. Dung said.
In addition, a series of Petrovietnam member units and workers in the Central region such as BSR, PVOil, ... have spread to flooded localities, communes and villages to share food, supplies, drinking water and funds to directly support people to overcome some of the difficulties in floods.
From urgent action to long-term humanitarian commitment
Over the years, Petrovietnam and its member units and employees in the Group have always accompanied people nationwide in social security activities, especially support when natural disasters and epidemics occur such as relief during storms, responding to COVID-19, building schools, medical stations, supporting Tet for the poor, ... with a total amount in the past 5 years reaching nearly 5,000 billion VND.

Last night (November 3), at the Closing Ceremony of the First Autumn Fair, Petrovietnam and its member units and employees throughout the Group affirmed that they will spend 100 billion VND to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods in 2025.
Of which, 70 billion VND has been deployed to localities affected by natural disasters in the coming months, such as storm No. 10 in the North Central provinces or storm No. 11 in the northern mountainous provinces.
Also on the evening of November 3, in the program "Joining hands for the poor and social security in 2025" organized by the People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City in Hanoi, Petrovietnam donated 10 billion VND to the government and people of the capital so that the government and people of Hanoi have more resources to care for the poor, so that no one is left behind.
In 2025 alone, Petrovietnam will spend nearly VND1,000 billion to support social security programs nationwide such as education, healthcare, solidarity housing, housing for the poor, natural disaster prevention and overcoming, and for the poor nationwide.
These figures clearly reflect the social responsibility, sharing spirit and affection of Petrovietnam employees towards the community, while affirming the role of national and ethnic enterprises in economic development associated with sustainable and humane goals.
