On the afternoon of March 16, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom (born in 1991, residing in Hamlet 12, Ha Linh Commune, Huong Khe District, Ha Tinh Province) - said that on the night of March 14 and early morning of March 15, after a power outage and a failed fan cooling system, her family started the electrical system to detlate the explosion.
However, the operation of the plant was delayed for about 15 minutes, causing about 8,000 chickens in the farm to suffocate.
The number of dead chickens accounts for more than 70% of the total flock in the farm, including 12,000 chickens that have reached the export and sale stage with an average weight of 2kg - 2.5kg/head.
"Yesterday, after the chickens suffocated, local organizations, authorities, brothers and neighbors came to support the collection, burying and destroying them. The chickens had just died, the meat was still fresh, the family could only sell the scraps for less than 20 million VND. The estimated damage is about more than 1 billion VND, Ms. Thom sadly shared.

According to Ms. Thom, her family raised her to work for the Company. Seeds and feed provided by the Company. When raising chickens, they will be paid for the total weight and value of the chickens for sale.
"I also don't know if the Company will provide any support for the family with the electrical incident that caused the chickens to die like that. If we do not receive any support, it will be very difficult for us, Ms. Thom confided.
It is known that Ms. Thom's family's large-scale livestock farm has been invested in and raised chickens since 2023.
Previously, on the morning of March 15, Lao Dong Newspaper reported an internal power problem at the farm that caused the cooling fan system of the chicken farm of Mr. Tran Quoc The and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom's family to be faulty and not working.
The incident suffocated about 8,000 chickens in the farm. The local government then worked with organizations, people, and neighbors to support the family in overcoming the consequences, burying and destroying the dead chickens.
