On the morning of November 17, a working group of leaders of the Provincial Police and Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee were present at the Khanh Le Pass area connecting Nha Trang - Da Lat (Nam Khanh Vinh Commune) to directly direct the search for victims and overcome the consequences of the passenger bus being buried by rocks and soil.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee informed from the scene that as of 7:00 a.m. this morning, the authorities had declared 6 deaths.
The weather in Khanh Hoa in general and the Khanh Le Pass area in particular still has very heavy rain, consecutive landslides occurred.
Unfavorable weather made it difficult for authorities to approach the scene to search for the remaining victims.




On the same morning, 32 passengers and 13 injured people were being treated at Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
As reported by Lao Dong, at around 10:30 p.m. on November 16, 2025, a 40-seat Phuong Trang passenger car with license plate 59H-53114, traveling on National Highway 27C from Da Lat to Nha Trang, when reaching km45 (Khanh Le Pass, Khanh Hoa Province), had an accident.


At the time of the accident, it was raining heavily, and there were many landslides in the pass area. Of which, there are two large points at km43 and km47, making it difficult for rescue forces to approach the scene.
Soil and rocks from the positive slope suddenly collapsed, hitting the right side of the passenger bus. The incident caused severe damage to the vehicle and many passengers were trapped inside.
It was not until around 0:00 on November 17 that the authorities arrived at the area where the accident occurred.
