Alone exploring Cuba for 1 week, Ms. Tran Dang Van Ha (28 years old, Hanoi) has the experiences with "1-0-2", unique but unforgettable impression, clearly twice as clear.
Sparkling beauty
Taking advantage of a business trip in the US, 9X female tourists decided to buy air tickets to visit Cuba. In 6 days here, Van Ha stopped in Havana, the capital of Vinales cigar, Saturn cave, Varadero beach with clear water like pearls, Cienfuegos city, Trinidad city with famous colorful houses.
Despite going around Cuba, the place left the most unforgettable memories for her is still the capital of Havana. Women have spent time in both the most luxurious hotel Gran Kempinski and in a normal apartment in the old town somewhat poor.
From the roof of Kempinski hotel, Van Ha found everything was flashy and convenient. In the evening when she was sitting and eating beside the swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, the entire electrical system in the city suddenly lost.

The guests then, including Ms. Ha, took a few seconds to determine the situation that had just happened, should have been very panicked but all pay attention to the sunset in front of him. "Everyone dumbfounded sitting and watching," the female tourist recalled.
However, because of the Government's regulations, employees are paid very low, only 10-20 USD/month (about 250,000 - 500,000 VND/month). Therefore, Vietnamese female tourists evaluate the quality of service is not good compared to the price of 400 USD/night (about 10 million/night) that she has spent.
After 2 days at the hotel, she decided to move the suitcase through an apartment of the people placed on the Airbnb application. She happily said: “Cuba will not be Cuba, if I do not live in the enthusiastic neighbors of indigenous people.
Only when I walked out, I understood that life in the hotel was actually like a closed, invisible box that made me afraid of the world out there, thinking it was very dangerous but actually not like at all, on the contrary, it was extremely safe and warm. ”
Warm people in the old street
The day she left the hotel, electricity did not return; The phone is not charged, runs out of battery, cannot have an alarm clock the next morning. The driver came on time, waiting in front of the house to take the female tourist to the coastal city but did not receive a response.
Ms. Van Ha remembers: “So at 8 am that morning, the neighbors of the street half -street joined me to wake me up so that I could not miss the trip.
I opened the door but only knew just pointing back and forth to understand what they mean. When I rushed down to open the door to the car, half of the street cheered and patted the shoulder to congratulate the driver. That neighbor's love reminds me of my childhood memories in the old dormitory in Hanoi. ”
Two nights of power failure, two Cuban hosts know that female tourists are alone and afraid of darkness. Therefore, they decided to bring the chair to the roof and sit and tell her stories about life in Havana until 1am, when Van Ha was sleepy.

The moment the city had electricity, the whole street cheered in joy. It was also the first time in the life of women who cheered so loudly when they saw the light bulb in front of the eyes.
"The harsh life makes people grateful to each small thing, because tomorrow is not guaranteed to wake up with light bulbs, water is heated or a plate of food," she said.
It is still the only difficulty in her trip to spend in cash due to the Cuban government's regulations, except for large hotels and a small number of crowded private enterprises that allowed to pay by cards.
On the last day in Cuba, Van Ha ran out of cash. Yet, the landlord still asked her neighbors to take her to the airport and resolutely did not accept the money but just told: "Next time please come back". Even, the landlord tried to choose by the old Chevrolet car that she liked, because "that's the same way to break up Havana".
She said: "Cuba is a place farther than my own expectations, safer than imagination and people live truly emotionally. Sometimes in the modern world, people forget the small things is also fun. When they come to an environment where tomorrow is not guaranteed, to appreciate life from small details."
