Nham Lac Lo Lake is often called by Ha Tien people by the popular name of Da Dung Mountain. This modest mountain goose growing in the middle of a flat plains is only 100 meters high, suddenly having the quality of "altitude of self-respect", meaning the high mountains hold the whole area.
Now, Ha Tien - a front gate town of Vietnam - has become Ha Tien ward of An Giang province. But regardless of the name, Ha Tien is still the southwestern sea of the Fatherland, symmetrical with the East Sea, and the basis of precious islands such as Phu Quoc, Nam Du, Tho Chu.
This frontland of Vietnam is truly worthy of the two words "victory". Not only because of the geopolitical value of Ha Tien, but also because it contains many interesting landscapes, worthy of being a long-term residence for the Vietnamese people in the process of opening up the border and the tienters.
Nham Lac Lo means finding precious gems in the fairyland's resting place, referring to the event of the capital Ha Tien Mac Cuu picking up precious gems in this place filled with the spirit of the festival. From here, Chau Nham Lac Lo becomes the first scenic spot in Ha Tien.
Da Dung Mountain is located in My Duc, Ha Tien Ward, just a few kilometers from the Vietnam - Cambodia border. From the center of Ha Tien, along National Highway 80 to near Thach Dong, turn right and take about 2.5km to Da Dung Mountain. Da Dung Mountain is about 100m high, a modest height but full of pioneering methods.
This mountain is considered a precious gift that nature has given to the land of Ha Tien. More importantly, this place is still associated with many legends, many cultural and historical events bearing the mark of the time when the ancestors opened the Southern land.
According to historical records, Chau Nham Lac Lo was the place where Ha Tien people used it as a "natural possession" to fight against two attacks by the Xiem La invaders. The prime location of the mountain also turned this place into a basis for revolutionary activities during the American resistance war.
At that time, Da Dung Mountain was not only a place for revolutionary activities but also a bridge of Route 1C and the fierce battles between our people and the army. Even when the river has been unified, Da Dung mountain is still resilient as a fortress in the Southwestern border war from 1977 to 1978
Therefore, Da Dung Mountain is not only a mountain, a high point of Ha Tien but also a historical relic of building and defending the country resiliently. It is also easy to understand why the Ha Tien people built a martyrs' cemetery in a grotto in Da Dung mountain to forever remember those who sacrificed to protect this land.

Although the name Chau Nham Lac Lo has an ancient atmosphere, it truly expresses the spirit of the mountain. Just 100 meters, but around this mountain are steep limestone cliffs - turning green means cliff, the mountain is just the pearl of Mac Cuu picked up here, and the lost road is the road to the happiness of the beginning.
The painted road surrounding Da Dung mountain is 3,149m long, connecting the cave system in the mountain from low to the top. Da Dung Mountain was created by many layers of limestone, over time and under the impact of weather, this place has formed cliffs with strange shapes, beautiful and magnificent caves.
It is strange to admire the magical caves of this bon sai mountain, as if they were created by a fairy hand. There are streams that are tearing, with trunks decreasing from high to low, tens of meters long, with "open-air" sky wells, and deep puddles connecting to the water world.
Overview, Da Dung Mountain has about 14 large and small caves connected together to create mysterious "arches" and bring the beauty of a stone sculpture. A typical example is Kim Quy Cave with a yellow rock shaped like a turtle, one of the four sacred animals of Taoism.
Next is the Bong Lai Cave, which seems to be lost in a place of prized Hai Hoa, the cave has a beautiful view, and you can see even clouds flying in the sky. San Hoi Cave has volcanic volcanoes on the cliff that look like a monk reclining, bowing his head against the cliff.
These are all the first fruits in the pink ceiling. However, the spiritual value of Da Dung Mountain is the Hang Gia Cave, which according to legend was where Thach Sanh used to live and was also the place where Thach Sanh shot down the cities to save princess Quynh Nga.
In addition, there is a cave where Mother Sanh gradually gets smaller as she enters the cave, until she sees the brilliant light and leaves the cave. Trong Nha Cave has such a sensitive sound that if we put our hand and pat it lightly on our chest, we will immediately hear the echoing from the cliff. Or the Laoell Cave grows many billion-dollar trees, making a thunderous ranging sound like a bell if you lightly ring it.
In the cave complex at Da Dung Mountain, there is also Xa Loc Ky cave that is reminiscent of Son Doong in Quang Tri because the cave is connected to the outside by a very small path, inside the cave there is a skylight with a rope climbing down, making the cave bright when the sun rises and become sad when the afternoon falls.
In the final stone steps to climb to the top of the mountain, people suddenly turned into fairies when standing on the top of Da Dung mountain. At this time, the two words Lac Lo showed signs of miracles. Even though you can't see the hauntingess flying among the illusion, standing here, human vision is suddenly opened.
A vast scene of Ha Tien is seen before the eyes with the wonderful beauty of the scenery and nature. Surrounded by eye-catching rice fields, many muddy, dusty forests create a wild, strange landscape. The image of buffaloes hiding in the sedge fields in the distance, suddenly " gone foreign".
