Support to resolve family conflicts

Established in early 2024, up to now, the Trade Union of Tam Ngoc One Member Co., Ltd. (Co Do district, Can Tho city) has had many activities to care for union members and workers such as giving Tet gifts, visiting people in difficult circumstances, organizing Union Meals on the occasion of Workers' Month...

Mr. Ho Si Hien - Chairman of the Trade Union of Tam Ngoc Company Limited - said that in order to improve the spiritual life of employees, especially after work hours, the Company's Trade Union proposed and was approved by the Board of Directors to build sports fields for employees to participate in.

“The company has built volleyball and badminton courts for workers to participate in after work to improve their health. When completed, the company will continue to build a mini soccer field on campus,” Mr. Hien informed.

Mr. Hien added that the company's Trade Union also organized a talk so that members and employees could understand their rights and responsibilities when working at the company and joining the Trade Union. From there, it would help members and employees perform their work better and have more trust in the Trade Union, first of all the Trade Union at the unit.

At An Do Duong Company Limited (Thot Not District, Can Tho City), in addition to regular caring activities such as giving Tet gifts, condolences, weddings, visiting sick union members, etc., the Company's Union also supports in resolving family conflicts for union members and employees.

“The role of the Trade Union is to bridge the gap between employers and employees. If any problems arise during work, the Trade Union Executive Committee always tries to resolve them quickly for the Union and employees. In particular, in addition to issues related to rights, many couples of Union and employees have conflicts, we also listen and help to reconcile. Although we cannot intervene too deeply, we always consider Union and employees as family members, try to advise, sometimes be a bit tough so that they understand, and do not affect the production progress”, said Mr. Vu Hai Nam - Chairman of the Trade Union of An Do Duong Company Limited.

Voluntarily join the Union

According to Mr. Hien, in recent times, the work of developing union members at the company has attracted the attention of employees. Accordingly, in addition to propaganda, practical care activities are also a very important factor.

“A well-functioning trade union that truly cares for its members and employees will make the work of mobilizing them easier and vice versa. Therefore, the practical and effective representative and care activities of the company’s trade union for its members and employees in recent times have really attracted and created trust in employees, so that they voluntarily join the trade union,” Mr. Hien emphasized.

Since the beginning of the year, An Do Duong Company Limited has developed 1,000 union members, 510 of whom were recruited during Workers' Month. What attracted a large number of workers to join the Union is the caring and representative activities that the Unions at all levels have carried out.

“Many workers see the benefits of union members so they voluntarily join the union without any need for lobbying. Moreover, some union members, after a period of participation, even persuade their colleagues to join. This shows the trust that union members and workers have in the union,” said Mr. Nam.

According to the Can Tho City Labor Federation, in the coming time, the city's Trade Unions at all levels will continue to synchronously deploy solutions to overcome difficulties, determined to successfully implement the 2024 trade union activity program. In particular, focusing resources on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, and considering this a key and continuous task in the activities of the Trade Union organization.
