On October 25, the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation said that before the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, the Provincial Labor Union coordinated with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to meet voters and collect opinions on the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended).
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, Article 6 regulates the right of employees to join the Vietnam Trade Union at enterprises. Gia Lai voters assessed that the draft law has timely supplemented the regulation on the right of employees to join the Vietnam Trade Union.
Thereby, strengthening the role of the Vietnam Trade Union organization towards workers and ensuring compliance with the provisions of the 2019 Labor Code. Voters hope that National Assembly Deputies will continue to unanimously pass it.
Regarding Article 16 regulating the supervisory function of trade unions, the draft law has more specifically stipulated the right to proactively conduct supervision, contributing to early detection of violations at the employer.
Thereby, the Trade Union performs well the role of a representative organization, protecting the rights of workers in labor relations, participating in state management, social management, and exercising the people's right to mastery.
Regarding Article 17 regulating the social criticism function of trade unions, Gia Lai voters proposed that National Assembly Deputies continue to consider and pass it.
With the function of criticism, the role and position of trade unions at all levels will be increasingly affirmed in participating in building legal policies and protecting the legitimate rights of the working class.
