On December 21, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thach - Chairman of the Trade Union of Economic Zones of Ha Tinh province said that in 2024, the Trade Union of Economic Zones of the province achieved many outstanding results in all fields, successfully completing the set targets and tasks.
Regarding the representation and protection of the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers, the Trade Union of the Economic Zones of Ha Tinh province has directed and guided grassroots trade unions to implement legal regulations on labor.
As a result, 100% of administrative units organized conferences for cadres, civil servants and public employees; 56 enterprises were qualified to organize conferences for employees (achieving 100% of the plan); 66 enterprises organized dialogues at the workplace (achieving 110% of the plan).
The union signed 25 collective labor agreements, of which the newly signed agreements reached 233% of the plan assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor. The grassroots unions coordinated with enterprises to organize periodic health check-ups for 9,390 workers (reaching 137% of the plan).
Activities to care for the lives of union members, workers and social activities are focused on. In 2024, the Trade Union of the Economic Zones mobilized 925 gifts with a total value of 535 million VND to support union members in difficult circumstances.
The trade unions mobilized 2,860 gifts, worth more than 1.5 billion VND in total, to give to union members in need at the grassroots level. The union also requested the provincial labor federation to give 4 union shelters, worth 140 million VND in total.
Currently, 65/68 Trade Unions have organized shift meals for workers, of which 22 units have increased the shift meal level in 2024.
Patriotic emulation movements among union members and workers were strongly deployed, typically the movement "Good workers, creative workers".
Through that, many initiatives and technical improvements of workers have been applied to production, bringing benefits of 4.2 billion VND to the enterprise.
In 2024, the Trade Union of Ha Tinh Economic Zones established 6 new grassroots trade unions (150% of the target assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor), admitted 1,193 union members to the Vietnam Trade Union organization (150% of the target assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor), and introduced 15 union members to attend the Party sympathy class.
With the outstanding results achieved, in 2024, the Trade Union of the Economic Zones of Ha Tinh province was proposed by the Provincial Federation of Labor to the Provincial People's Committee to award the Excellent Emulation Flag; 6 individuals were proposed to be awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 4 collectives and 24 individuals were proposed to be awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial Federation of Labor; 5 collectives and 27 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Trade Union of the Economic Zones; 2 individuals were awarded the title of Creative Labor by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 11 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee.
