The event was held on November 16 at Tuy Phong Garment Factory, Lien Huong Commune, Lam Dong Province.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa - Chairman of the Tuy Phong Garment Factory Trade Union - said that the flash flood on November 1 in Tuy Phong commune caused heavy damage to houses and property of many families. Among them, there are some union members and workers of the factory.
"Immediately after the flood, we surveyed and grasped the damage situation of the families. The Executive Committee of the union also held a quick meeting via Zalo group to agree on a timely support plan, Mr. Hoa shared.
The factory union has proposed and agreed with the Board of Directors to launch an internal donation campaign. With the spirit of volunteering, "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", after only 5 days, union members and workers have donated more than 105 million VND.

Mr. Hoa said: "The Executive Committee of the Trade Union has agreed on a plan to donate and support from this amount. The list of supporters and those who are supported is made public for union members and workers to monitor".
On this occasion, Tuy Phong Garment Trade Union presented support to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Chien - a 55-year-old garment worker with liver cancer - with more than 66 million VND; and supported 23 workers affected by flash floods, each with 1 million VND.
The unit also donated 16 million VND through the Lien Huong Commune Union to support union members and workers in other unions in the area who suffered losses.
In the case of Ms. Chien, who has worked at the factory since 2015, who was diagnosed with liver cancer in March and had to be hospitalized many times for treatment, the family was in a difficult situation.
"Knowing your situation, the union and the Board of Directors have arranged the work more gently. Now that I have received treatment funding, I am very touched and grateful to the brothers and sisters in the workshop, Ms. Chien said emotionally.
Mr. Nguyen Dai Thai Hoang Phong - factory security guard - shared: "The flash flood swept away all of my assets, and my family encountered many difficulties. With the encouragement and support of the union and colleagues, I am very happy and touched.
