On June 11, Mr. Dinh Duc Chi - Vice Chairman of Lam Ha District People's Committee (Lam Dong province) - said that the locality has just summarized 10 years of implementing the Law on Labor Safety and Hygiene.
According to Mr. Chi, in recent times, the district has effectively implemented propaganda, inspection and supervision of occupational safety and hygiene for businesses and workers.
Trade unions at all levels have coordinated with employers to improve working conditions, ensure safety and hygiene during the work process. Thereby, contributing to improving productivity, income and product quality, towards sustainable development.
Since 2016, the district has disseminated the law to 4,200 employers and more than 31,000 employees.
The district also organized 4 training courses, granting certificates of occupational safety and hygiene to 230 people. On the part of enterprises, they also proactively organize internal training every year.
Through these activities, basically 100% of workers have been instructed on safe machine use skills and first aid in case of incidents, said Mr. Chi.
The work of checking and preventing dangerous factors at the workplace is also focused on. From 2016 to present, the district has conducted 11 inspections and supervisions at 56 enterprises.
Thanks to the above efforts, the awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, businesses and workers have been increasingly enhanced.
From 2016 to now, Lam Ha district has not had any work accidents that caused death or serious property damage.
