Nghe An develops more than 8,500 union members in the first 6 months of the year

Nghe An - The Provincial Labor Federation promotes the development of union members, establishes grassroots trade unions, reaching 57% of the target for 2026.

On July 2nd, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation said that in the first 6 months of 2026, the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and building trade union organizations continued to achieve many positive results.

Implementing the plan to develop union members and establish grassroots trade unions in 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation has assigned targets and synchronously implemented many solutions to trade union levels throughout the province.

In the first 6 months of the year, trade union levels newly established 39 grassroots trade unions with 3,041 union members; newly developed 5,545 union members in grassroots trade unions. The number of union members actually developed reached 8,545/15,000 union members, equivalent to 57% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2026.

Along with the work of developing union members, trade union levels proactively coordinate with Party committees, authorities and employers to discover and select typical union members in labor, production and work to foster, propagate, educate, raise political awareness, and create a source of introduction for the Party to consider admitting.

To date, trade union levels have introduced 363 outstanding union members for Party consideration and admission, reaching 52.1% of the plan. Of which, 172 trade union members have been admitted to the Party.

The development of union members, the establishment of grassroots trade unions and the introduction of outstanding union members to the Party continue to contribute to consolidating the trade union organization, improving the quality of operations, and meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
