Initiative to reduce manual labor hours
Ms. Vo Thi Nam - Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Kon Tum Urban Environment Joint Stock Company (Quang Ngai province) said that recently the unit sent two typical initiatives of workers to participate in the competition to improve productivity and work quality.
Those are the edge-to-edge green tree cutting machine initiative and the Tet decoration model design initiative. Thanks to the innovations, the grassroots trade union is honored to be on the list of recipients of the Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in 2026.
In which, the edge-to-edge green tree cutting machine initiative helps replace traditional manual pruning methods, contributing to increasing labor productivity many times, while ensuring uniformity and aesthetics for the urban landscape.
According to the company's assessment, this initiative not only shortens construction time but also significantly reduces labor intensity, ensuring labor safety and hygiene for direct production workers. Currently, the initiative has been widely applied, continuously promoting efficiency on many key roads in Kon Tum urban area.
According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation, for many years, Kon Tum Urban Environment Joint Stock Company has always focused on improving the spirit of responsibility in collecting and treating waste and maintaining street hygiene.
Early recording people's reflections on waste and pollution
The image of environmental workers working overnight, regardless of holidays and Tet to keep the city clean and beautiful, has become a familiar beauty, receiving recognition from the government and local people.
Ms. Vo Thi Nam added that the company has established a mechanism to receive and quickly handle environmental feedback through many different information channels, considering resolving people's grievances as a top priority, in line with the motto "Focusing on the people, respecting the people".
In addition, the Tet decoration model design initiative has promoted the internal strength and creativity of the internal technical team, instead of having to hire external units to implement it. The initiative not only helps save investment costs but also creates decorative products imbued with local cultural identity.
Thereby, contributing to improving the urban appearance during holidays and Tet, while affirming the role and prestige of the unit in building a green - clean - beautiful city.
With many outstanding achievements in the creative labor emulation movement, in 2023, Kon Tum Urban Environment Joint Stock Company was honored to receive the Government's Emulation Flag and the Certificate of Merit from Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee.
In 2024, the company continued to be awarded Certificates of Merit by the Kon Tum City People's Committee and Certificates of Merit by the Kon Tum Provincial Labor Federation. By 2025, the unit received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, recognizing positive contributions in professional work and the creative labor emulation movement.
