On the morning of October 26, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Provincial Health Sector Trade Union, Trieu Phong District Labor Federation, and Trieu Phong District Health Center to organize a program to provide consultation, specialized health check-ups, and free medicine for female workers.
At the health check-up, more than 150 female workers in Trieu Phong district were examined by doctors and medical staff, given general ultrasound, given reproductive health care advice, tested for cervical cancer and given free medicine...
Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Trang - Worker of Dai Song Tien Import-Export Garment Company said that the health check-up activities organized by the Union are very practical and meaningful, helping workers grasp their health status, thereby promptly detecting diseases for early treatment. Ms. Trang hopes that in the future, there will be more similar programs for female workers to have the opportunity to check their health, thereby being able to work, produce and do their jobs with peace of mind.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President of Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation shared that recently, in order to take care of the health of workers working in enterprises, trade unions at all levels have regularly coordinated with agencies and units to organize many activities of medical examination, consultation, and free medicine distribution.
From organizing this activity, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor hopes that businesses and employers will continue to pay attention and coordinate with the trade union to actively care for the material and spiritual life as well as the health of workers in the area.
At the program, from the support of the Women's Union of VNPT Quang Tri and the Union of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of the province, the units presented 15 study corners to the children of female union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 30 million VND. The activity aims to support, encourage and motivate the children of union members and workers to continue to strive and excel in their studies.
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor also organized the program "Loving Meal" and gave 120 free meals, each worth 30,000 VND, to patients being treated at the Trieu Phong District Medical Center. The organization's funding came from the contributions of union officials and the Women's Union of the Health Sector.
