On November 16, Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor in coordination with Ton Duc Thang University organized the opening ceremony of the Trade Union theory and practice class.
During the time participating in the theory and professional trade union work class, the students were taught by lecturers from Ton Duc Thang University about the following topics: History of the world and Vietnamese workers' and trade union movements; Basic theory of Vietnamese trade unions; Organizational work - cadres and training of trade union cadres; Trade union finance work; inspection work and activities of the trade union inspection committee; trade unions with social insurance, health insurance and unemployment; Laws related to labor and trade unions; Communication skills and social responsibility and Labor relations and worker psychology, etc.
The class on theory and professional work of trade unions had the participation of 40 students who are full-time and part-time trade union officials of Tien Giang province's trade union.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Minh Hung said that through the theoretical training course for full-time cadres, it has contributed to improving the level of political theory; helping students grasp the viewpoints, goals, tasks, and main solutions for innovation in trade union organization and activities in the new situation. In addition, it helps full-time trade union cadres grasp the skills and expertise of trade union work, gradually meeting the requirements and tasks of the workers' and civil servants' movement and trade union activities in the coming time.
