Accordingly, the Hanoi City Labor Federation and the Son Tay Town Labor Federation organized the handover of funds to support the Trade Union Shelter to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Kiem. Ms. Kiem is a member of the Trade Union of K.I.P Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
Previously, Ms. Kiem’s family lived in a level 4 house that had been built a long time ago, was leaky and severely degraded. Ms. Kiem’s husband was a freelancer with an unstable income. The couple’s income was only enough to cover all living expenses and to raise 3 children, so they could not afford to repair or build a new house.
With the concern and care for union members, the Son Tay Town Labor Federation understood Ms. Kiem's situation and proposed that the City Labor Federation consider supporting funding to repair the house. The City Labor Federation decided to support 30 million VND and the Son Tay Town Labor Federation supported 5 million VND.
To date, Ms. Kiem’s family’s house has completed the renovation after 4 months. The house has an area of 30 square meters, has a cooling corrugated iron roof, heat-insulating corrugated iron ceiling, marble floors, a safe door system, etc.
Receiving the support fund for the Trade Union Shelter from the Trade Union, Ms. Tran Thi Kiem was moved to thank the Trade Union, her family, relatives and friends for their care so that her family could have a solid house. Ms. Kiem shared that this was the motivation for all family members to overcome difficulties, live better and work with peace of mind.
The joy of Ms. Kiem's family multiplied when the City Labor Federation, the Town Labor Federation, the Mass Mobilization Committee, the Propaganda Committee of Son Tay Town Party Committee, and K.I.P Vietnam Joint Stock Company presented the family with meaningful gifts.
