Attending were Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor; Nguyen Huy Khanh - Vice President of the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor and union officials of universities and colleges.
The Hanoi City Labor Federation is currently guiding and directing the activities of 20 university and college trade unions with a total of 5,346 cadres, teachers, and workers, of which 3,019 are female, accounting for 56.47%; 5,153 are union members, of which 2,986 are female, accounting for 57.94%.
In the 2024-2025 school year, under the direction of the City Labor Federation, the direct leadership of the Party Committee in schools, the close coordination of the government, professional activities, and trade union activities of universities and colleges have many innovations, proactively grasping the situation, selecting appropriate and flexible content in the method of organizing activities.
The trade unions of schools have performed well the functions and tasks of the trade union, especially in political and ideological education, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and union members, and participating in effective management of the school's activities.
The emulation movements have attracted a large number of union members, cadres, teachers, and workers to participate. Through emulation movements, it has contributed significantly to the successful implementation of the school's political tasks, contributing to the success of the workers' and civil servants' movement and the activities of the Capital Trade Union.
Notably, the emulation movement "Good at school work, good at home work" was implemented by the Trade Union of schools in conjunction with professional activities such as: "Good teaching, good learning", "Each teacher is a moral, self-study and creative example"; through the following forms: Innovation in teaching methods, scientific management and research, technology transfer of female teachers and staff; the "Innovation and entrepreneurship" contest, participating in practical lessons in localities.
Through emulation movements, the movement "Good at school work, good at housework" and campaigns, the Trade Unions of schools have, together with the profession, paid attention to training and fostering the general staff and fostering female school staff and lecturers, encouraging female staff and lecturers to actively participate in scientific research topics, constantly studying to improve their professional qualifications and skills; political theory qualifications, academic titles, and positions to meet the requirements of assigned work.
In the 2024-2025 school year, 2,760 female cadres, lecturers, and workers have achieved the title of "Good at school work, good at home work", reaching 87.8%.
One of the key tasks of the Trade Union activities of universities and colleges in the 2025-2026 school year is to regularly grasp the ideological situation, orient the ideology of cadres and union members, promptly resolve problems and concerns from the grassroots, build internal solidarity, contribute to building a stable and developed school.
In the 2025 - 2026 school year, the Trade Union of universities and colleges strives for 100% of the school's Trade Union to be classified as a grassroots Trade Union that has completed its tasks well and excellently; 100% of the school's Trade Union has completed the budget for Union financial revenue and expenditure...
Regarding the organization of the Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term, the Hanoi City Labor Federation will deploy basic contents to the Trade Unions of schools.
The Trade Unions of the Schools organize the 2025-2030 General Meeting in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, Plan No. 117/KH-LDLD, dated September 23, 2025 of the Hanoi City Labor Federation, ensuring the purpose, requirements, content and timetable.
After the Congress, the Regulations on the operation of the Executive Committee, the operating regulations of the Inspection Committee, the full-term operation program and the assignment of tasks to the Executive Committee to effectively implement the Congress Resolution were developed.
Speaking to the team of union officials of universities and colleges, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Le Dinh Hung highly appreciated the activities of the unions of universities and colleges, and emphasized the need to continue to innovate activities to adapt to the new situation.
