Ms. Tran Thi Kim Chung - President of the Tra Vinh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that the work of women's workers in Tra Vinh in recent times has been marked by many meaningful activities, attracting the participation of many female union members and workers.
The Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with the Provincial Women's Union to organize the launching ceremony of "Ao Dai Week" and co-performed a folk dance with more than 500 participants.
The program "Giving Ao Dai - Sending Love" mobilized 1,002 Ao Dai sets, 1,233 shirts and 31 Ao Dai sewing fabric sections to give to female workers in difficult circumstances in industrial parks.
In addition, the union also maintains models such as revolving capital contributions, Women's Clubs, meeting on March 8, visiting and giving gifts to union members' children during the Month of Action for Children. In particular, the " Men in the kitchen" contest attracted 44 teams to participate, contributing creatively to promoting gender equality.
"Gender-led activities have been effective, not only improving the spiritual life of female workers but also motivating them to stick together and contribute more to their families and society," added the Chairman of the Tra Vinh Provincial Federation of Labor.
