Speaking at the ceremony, Chairwoman of the Yen Bai Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union Dinh Thi Hong Lan said that the unit is currently managing 52 grassroots trade unions, an increase of 7 units compared to 2023.
The income and labor relations situation at enterprises in Yen Bai province in 2024 showed significant stability.
"The average income of workers is 6,200,000 VND/person/month. Enterprises mainly pay full salaries and bonuses, maintain harmonious labor relations, and do not have major conflicts. However, some foreign-invested enterprises still restrict the operating conditions of trade unions, even interfere in the financial and personnel work of grassroots trade unions," said the Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Yen Bai province.
In 2024, trade union work achieved many positive results, programs to care for union members and workers affected by natural disasters and epidemics were effectively implemented, helping to ensure workers' lives.
Health care activities, giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, and organizing emulation movements "Good workers - Creative workers" all received enthusiastic responses from union members.
The work of developing union members also achieved positive results with 920 new union members, exceeding the set target.
In addition, 7 new grassroots unions were established, contributing to increasing union participation in enterprises.
The provincial trade union also focuses on monitoring social insurance payments, helping to ensure workers' rights.
Over the past year, the union has coordinated with authorities to recover more than VND900 million in outstanding social insurance payments.
Regarding the direction and tasks for 2025, Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Chuong Phat emphasized that the Yen Bai Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union needs to focus on launching emulation movements, continuing to care for the lives of union members and workers, and promoting cultural and sports activities in the working community.
"At the same time, we need to strengthen propaganda and implement new resolutions and directives to innovate trade union activities and improve the effectiveness of protecting workers' rights in the new context," said the Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial Federation of Labor.
