The Vietnamese futsal team has secured an early ticket to the semi-finals of the 2024 Southeast Asian Championship after winning all 3 matches in the group stage. In the final match against Thailand, with a relaxed mentality, coach Diego Giustozzi's team entered the match very proactively, creating a tit-for-tat game with the opponent.
The Vietnamese representative conceded two goals in this match, but thanks to their bravery and determination, the Vietnamese futsal team equalized the score before Cong Park scored the winning goal, 3-2, for the "Golden Star Warriors".
With this result, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team won tickets to the semi-finals with the top spot in Group A with 4 wins (12 points). The Thai futsal team ranked 2nd with 9 points (3 wins, 1 loss).
The two semi-final matches have also been decided. The Vietnamese futsal team will face Australia at 3:00 p.m. on November 8. Meanwhile, host Thailand will face the Indonesian futsal team at 6:00 p.m. on November 8.
