The U22 Vietnam team left for Jiangsu (China) yesterday (March 17) to prepare for the 2025 CFA Team China annual international friendly tournament.
Acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh brought 25 players to participate in the tournament. In addition to Dinh Bac being injured and goalkeeper Trung Kien joining the national team, U22 Vietnam still ensures the strongest squad.
Notably, there are two overseas Vietnamese players Viktor Le and Andrej An Khanh. They have integrated quite well with their teammates and have had a stable performance in recent times.
Before the tournament, coach Dinh Hong Vinh shared: "This is still an experimental training session, so U22 Vietnam will try to show themselves at the CFA Team China tournament.
Through the performances of the players, the coaching staff will evaluate and select good faces for the next training sessions. The destination of U22 Vietnam is the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of the year".
At the 2025 CFA Team China friendly tournament, U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Korea on March 20.3; face U22 Uzbekistan on March 23 and face U22 China on March 25.
