On the afternoon of December 15, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the 11th Congress of the Farmers' Union of Nghe An province, term 2025 - 2030, opened its first session. The Congress was attended by representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, and provincial-level unions, along with 300 outstanding delegates, representing nearly 500,000 cadres and farmers' associations in the province.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Nghe An province - said that the Congress took place in the context of the farmers' movement and the Association's work continuing to have many positive changes, making important contributions to socio-economic development, building new rural areas, ensuring national defense and security in the area.
During the past term, the Farmers' Association of Nghe An province promoted its central and core role in the farmers' movement; innovated the content and methods of operation in a grassroots direction; cared for the lives, protected the legitimate rights and interests of farmers; actively participated in building the Party, government and the great national unity bloc. Many practical emulation movements have been implemented, contributing to increasing income and improving the lives of members.
The Congress is tasked with summarizing and evaluating the work of the Association and the farmers' movement in the period of 2023 - 2025; identifying directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term, aiming to build a strong and comprehensive Association organization, promoting the role of farmers in the direction of "Clean agriculture, green rural areas, digital farmers".
At the first session, the Congress approved the program, rules and regulations; elected the Presidium, Secretariat, and the Delegation status Inspection Board; confirmed that 300 delegates were eligible to attend. The Congress also discussed and commented on the draft Documents of the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the draft Charter of the Union for amendments and supplements.
The second working session of the Congress took place on the morning of December 16 with many important contents.
