On the afternoon of November 20, the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, term 2025 - 2030, held its first session with the participation of 300 delegates representing all classes of people in the province.
Before the opening ceremony, delegates held a flower offering ceremony and presented gifts to President Ho Chi Minh at the Square Named People.
At the first session, the Congress held consultations to elect a Presidium consisting of 15 delegates and a Secretary of the Congress consisting of 2 delegates; voted to approve the program and the Congress's Regulations. As a result of the consultation, the Congress elected 119 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 16th Province (slightly 1 member); at the same time, the consultation elected 18 official delegates and 2 delegates in short supply to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term.
At the first conference of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 16th province, term 2025 - 2030, the members agreed to appoint comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 15th province - to continue to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 16th province. The conference also discussed the election of 8 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
The Congress will continue its second working session on November 21.
The 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, term 2025 - 2030, took place over two days, November 20 - 21, 2025 at the Provincial Labor Culture House, with the participation of 300 delegates.
