On the afternoon of February 4, at the People's Committee of Area 6, Phu Loi Ward (Can Tho City), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Loi Ward coordinated to organize a conference to collect opinions and confidences from voters at their place of residence for candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2026-2031.
The conference proceeded to collect voters' comments and confidence in 5 candidates, including: Mr. Lam Van Man - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ethnic Council, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council; Mr. Thach Minh Hoai - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Tan commune; Mr. Trieu Hoang Thanh - Deputy Head of the Culture - Society Committee, People's Council of My Xuyen ward; Mr. Son Hong Phuc - Standing Deputy Secretary cum Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Thanh Thoi An commune; Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuan Hoa commune.
After listening to the Organizing Committee approve the summary biographies of the candidates, voters in Area 6, Phu Loi ward assessed that the candidates are all typical individuals in terms of moral qualities, professional qualifications, always close to the grassroots level, and have close relationships with the people.
Voters also expressed their wish that if elected as National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels, candidates will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, well perform the role of people's representatives, worthy of the trust and expectations of voters, contributing to building an increasingly developed locality.
At the conference, 100% of voters present voted to agree to introduce Mr. Lam Van Man to participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and introduce 4 people to participate in the election of People's Council deputies of My Xuyen ward, Thanh Thoi An commune, Lam Tan commune and Thuan Hoa commune, term 2026–2031.
