Hanoi supported the two provinces of Dien Bien and Son La with 8 billion VND to contribute to helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, soon stabilize their lives and restore production.

Faced with the heavy damage caused by prolonged heavy rain causing flash floods, landslides, and landslides in the northern mountainous provinces, especially Son La and Dien Bien in late July and early August 2025, with the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, along with the whole country", the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City has decided to allocate 5 billion VND from the City's "Rescue" Fund to support the people of Dien Bien province and 3 billion VND from Son La province.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation, on behalf of the city's leaders, sent a letter of condolences and expressed her deep condolences to all cadres, soldiers and people of Dien Bien and Son La provinces, especially people in areas affected by storms and floods.

Flash floods, inundation, and landslides occurred in 12 communes along the Ma River. Many villages were isolated (12 villages in Muong Lam and Bo Sinh).

In Dien Bien province, natural disasters have killed 10 people, injured 7 people, and caused more than 300 houses to be washed away and damaged. The total damage is estimated at about 500 billion VND.

The flash flood and landslide caused by prolonged heavy rain have destroyed many communes in the province such as Xa Dung, Tia Dinh, Muong Luan, Na Son...

In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.

"A piece of food when hungry is worth a package when full", with the spirit of mutual love that has always been a beautiful image of the Vietnamese people, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund calls on domestic and foreign philanthropists to join hands to share with people affected by floods.... to soon stabilize their lives.
