Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee (CC) of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and Ms. Men Sam An - Vice Chairwoman of the Cambodian People's Party, Chairwoman of the National Council of the Cambodian Fatherland Front for Solidarity and Development, Chairwoman of the Cambodia - Vietnam Friendship Association co-chaired the talks and the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Central Committee of the VFF and the National Council of the Cambodian Fatherland Front for Solidarity and Development.
Speaking at the talks, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her pleasure and honor to welcome Ms. Men Sam An and the delegation of the National Council of the Cambodian Fatherland Front for Solidarity and Development to visit and work in Vietnam; and affirmed that the visit is of great significance, taking place in the context of the traditional friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia continuing to develop well on all channels of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government and people-to-people exchanges.
The visit will contribute to further strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two Fronts, making positive contributions to consolidating and further deepening the good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability of the two countries" - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized.
According to Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai, in the political system of each country, the Front has a very important position and role, being an organization representing the great national unity bloc, and at the same time a bridge between the Party, State and people. Therefore, cooperation between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Council of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for Solidarity and Development of Cambodia is not only a cooperation between mass organizations, but also has special significance in consolidating the social foundation of Vietnam - Cambodia relations.
In the coming time, Chairwoman Bui Thi Minh Hoai requested the two Fatherland Front organizations of the two countries to continue to strengthen coordination and continue to consolidate political trust, promote people-to-people exchanges, especially between member organizations of the two Fronts such as youth, women, intellectuals, social organizations and communities in localities. These activities will contribute to strengthening understanding and attachment between the people of the two countries.
Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between localities in the border area of the two countries, in the immediate future, coordinate to organize well the 7th International Conference on Building a Vietnam - Cambodia border of peace, friendship, cooperation and joint development in Cambodia this year.
Mentioning 2027 as the year the two countries will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (June 24, 1967 - June 24, 2027), Chairwoman Bui Thi Minh Hoai proposed that the two sides coordinate to develop practical plans to strengthen education and propaganda so that all classes of people, especially the young generation of the two countries, can deeply understand the meaning and importance as well as see their responsibilities in preserving and further cultivating the relationship between the two countries.
At the same time, continue to pay attention to and create maximum convenience for Vietnamese citizens and businesses in Cambodia to continue to contribute to the prosperous development of each country and the friendly relations between the two countries; coordinate with Laos to organize the Conference of Presidents of the Fatherland Front of three countries Vietnam - Cambodia - Laos. Especially closely coordinate to implement the Cooperation Agreement exchanged, agreed and signed by the two Fatherland Front organizations immediately after the talks...
On the occasion of the traditional Tet Chol Chnam Thmay 2026 of Cambodia, Chairwoman Bui Thi Minh Hoai wished Ms. Men Sam An and the delegation and her family good health, happiness and success. Wishing the relationship of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability" between Vietnam and Cambodia to develop more and more well.
Speaking at the talks, Ms. Men Sam An sent congratulations on the great achievements that Vietnam has achieved in the past time; especially the success in arranging and streamlining the organizational structure, consolidating and improving the efficiency of the public administrative system from the Central to local levels.
Ms. Men Sam An also sent congratulations on the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as the success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and deputies of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term; and expressed her belief that, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will continue to steadily move on the path of socio-economic development and towards achieving the goal of becoming a modern industrialized country with high average income and the goal of becoming a developed country with high income by 2045.
