The Congress gathered 300 representatives of representatives of all classes of people, religions, intellectuals, ethnic minorities and nearly 140 invited delegates.
During the past term, the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province have clearly demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness and creativity in leading, directing and organizing the implementation of tasks.
The activities are implemented synchronously, closely following the requirements of the province's political tasks and the practices of localities, thereby completing and exceeding many important targets set by the Resolution of the 15th National Congress.

In the context of Lang Son streamlining its organization according to the two-level government model, the Front system and socio-political organizations have proactively adapted, streamlining the apparatus but still ensuring to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Along with that, patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns continue to be maintained effectively, creating widespread influence, contributing to creating positive changes in social life.
The highlight of the term is the mobilization of resources to support the poor, social security and participate in disaster and epidemic relief.
The whole province has started construction of 7,041 houses to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. The "Fund for the Poor" mobilized over 7 billion VND, creating timely support resources for households in difficult circumstances.
Community solidarity activities are maintained in a disciplined manner, 1,646/1,646 residential areas organize the National Great Unity Festival; nearly 96% of areas maintain both the festival and the festival; more than 94.5% of the area organizes the Great Unity Meal, showing that the bond between the community is increasingly strong.
Notably, 100% of border communes have organized the National Border Guard Festival, contributing to strengthening the people's hearts on the border.
In addition to mass mobilization, the work of social supervision and criticism has many innovations, going into depth and correctly selecting urgent issues of social life.
Through supervision activities, the Front system clearly demonstrates its role in representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, while participating in contributing to building an increasingly clean and strong Party and government.
Many social criticism sessions have recorded opinions that are highly practical, absorbed by the drafting agency, and supplemented to the process of developing policies and guidelines of the province, creating consensus and efficiency in implementation.
At the congress, delegates also frankly acknowledged some limitations such as propaganda work in some places still being formal, some committee members not actively participating, or some monitoring contents have not created breakthroughs. This is the basis for the Front system to clearly identify the tasks in the coming term.
Continuing the spirit of solidarity, innovation and responsibility, the congress unanimously elected 114 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 16th province and completed the Standing Committee of 9 members.
With the foundation achieved, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lang Son province entered the 2025-2030 term with the determination to continue affirming its role as a center of great solidarity, contributing to building the province to develop more and more, maintaining political stability and security in the northern border area.
