The political report at the Congress stated: Over the past 5 years, under the direct and regular leadership of the superior Party Committee and the close direction of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Central Office of the Association has successfully completed the assigned political tasks; continued to affirm its role as a socio-political organization - a professional of Vietnamese journalists.
With the motto of action: "Solidarity - Courage - Intelligence - Pioneering - Innovation - Creativity", the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association clearly identified the orientation for the 2025-2030 term: Comprehensive innovation, building a clean and strong Party Committee; improving the quality of the Association's activities; contributing to building a Vietnamese revolutionary press that is truly the voice of the Party, the State and a trusted forum of the People.
The Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association aims to build the Association into a model, humane, modern organization with multi-medium and multi-platform activities; playing a pioneering role in propagating the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State. At the same time, it is a worthy representative organization for the right to mastery, aspirations and legitimate interests of Vietnamese journalists; accompanying the Association at all levels in building a team of members with strong political will, professional expertise, and technology proficiency, meeting the requirements of the digital age.
At the Congress, the Organizing Committee announced decisions on personnel work including: appointing personnel for the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, 15 comrades were appointed to the Executive Committee, 5 comrades to the Standing Committee. In particular, comrade Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association - was appointed to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association for the 2025-2030 term.
Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Trade Unions - Ngo Van Cuong praised the comprehensive results that the Party Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association has achieved in the recent term. In the context of revolutionary press facing many challenges from digital transformation, social networks and artificial intelligence, the Party Committee has clearly demonstrated its role as a political district; maintained public orientation, strengthened the people's trust; done a good job of Party building in all aspects of politics, ideology, organization, cadres, inspection - supervision and mass mobilization.
In the coming term, in the face of the world continuing to have rapid, complex and unpredictable developments, comrade Ngo Van Cuong emphasized that the Party Committee needs to continue to promote its comprehensive leadership role, proactively innovate, and improve the effectiveness of the Association's activities. Revolutionary press must maintain its pioneering role in digital transformation, apply artificial intelligence, protect the Party's ideological foundation and orient public opinion.
Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations - Ngo Van Cuong, suggested that the Central Party Committee of the Association should continue to improve quality in three aspects: politics, ideology and ethics; perfect the streamlined, effective and efficient organizational apparatus; strengthen inspection and supervision, especially in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; strictly handle violations of the Regulations on professional ethics and the Regulations on the use of social networks by journalists.
Along with that, it is necessary to promote the role of the press in gathering and cheering for the strength of the great national unity bloc; strengthen coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in propaganda and social criticism, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and government.
With the spirit of "Solidarity - bravery - Intelligence - Pioneering - Innovation - Creativity", Comrade Ngo Van Cuong believes that the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association will successfully complete the goals and tasks of the 2025-2030 term; continue to be the core force in ideological and cultural work, contributing to the cause of great national unity.
