The conference was chaired by member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) Nguyen Thi Tuyen and Vice Presidents of the Vietnam Women's Union.
At the conference, the 13th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union conducted the following contents: Evaluating and summarizing the work of the Union in 2025, implementing the plan and tasks of the Union in 2026.
Comment on the draft Documents submitted to the 14th National Women's Congress, including: draft Political Report submitted to the 14th National Women's Congress; draft Report summarizing the implementation of the Association Charter; draft Charter of the Vietnam Women's Union (amended and supplemented).
commented on the draft Project to organize the 14th National Women's Congress; commented on the draft documents: Report on the results of the Association's work and the women's movement in 2025; Plan to implement the Association's work tasks in 2026; Report on the inspection, supervision, settlement of complaints, denunciations and disciplinary action of the Women's Union at all levels in 2025 and key tasks in 2026; Resolution on "Propaganda, mobilization to carry out population work and development, health care for women and children in the period of 2026 - 2030".
Report summarizing the implementation of Resolution 18/NQ-BCH of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union on supporting women in international integration until 2030; Report on the end of the evaluation period of Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent problems for women and children" under the National Target Program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, phase I (2021 - 2025).
Within the framework of the Conference, a number of other important activities took place such as: The Ceremony to award the Labor Medal of various ranks and the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to individuals with outstanding achievements and many contributions to the Association's work; The signing ceremony of the coordination program between the Vietnam Women's Union and Bao Viet Group; The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation to implement the coordination program "Strengthening support activities to promote gender equality and solving some urgent problems for students at 248 boarding schools, primary and secondary schools in 248 communes bordering the mainland, period 2026 - 2027"; Launching the "Vietnamese Women" application.
Regarding personnel work, the Conference has perfected and elected 5 additional members of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, term XIII, 2022 - 2027.
To carry out emulation and reward work in 2025, the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union presented the "Leading Unit" Emulation Flag to 5 provincial Women's Unions, representing emulation clusters that are collectives with outstanding achievements leading the emulation movement and performing the Association's tasks in 2025.
Awarding the Emulation Flag of "Excellent Unit" to 13 Women's Union of provinces, cities and units with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and performing the Association's tasks in 2025.
Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union to 17 collectives of the Provincial and Municipal Women's Unions with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and implementation of the Association's work tasks in 2025.
The conference approved the Plan to deploy the Association's work tasks in 2026, with the theme of work in 2026 being "Innovation, creativity, concretization to bring the Resolution of the Party Congress, the National Front Congress and the Congress of Women's Representatives at all levels into life".
Speaking at the closing session of the Conference, Party Central Committee member, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen highly appreciated the results of activities of Women's Unions at all levels in 2025 for successfully completing the set goals and targets with many outstanding achievements.
Orienting the Association's activities in the coming year, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen stated that in 2026, the Associations at all levels must "accelerate and make a breakthrough", focus on striving to successfully implement the targets and tasks set out in the annual plan; must resolutely and seriously implement the organization and apparatus within the specialized agencies of the Associations at all levels; actively and responsibly participate in the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the 14th National Congress of Women's Representatives, the election of 16th National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
I request that members of the Central Executive Committee of the Association, based on the practical situation of the locality and unit, continue to implement the Association work with many practical and quality contents; call on all cadres, members and women nationwide to actively respond to emulation movements, join hands, be unanimous, overcome all difficulties and challenges, proactively seize opportunities, strive to compete to achieve the highest achievements, excellently complete the tasks of 2026, and make achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party - Party Central Committee member, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen emphasized.
