HCMC transfers 691 tons of goods to support Khanh Hoa people to overcome damage after floods

Ho Chi Minh City has transferred 10,000 life jackets, 691 tons of goods and essential necessities to support people in Khanh Hoa to overcome the damage after floods.

On the evening of November 24, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City informed that from November 21 to now, the city has mobilized total relief forces, urgently organized the transportation of clothes, necessities and specialized forces to promptly support Khanh Hoa province to overcome the severe consequences caused by floods.

Of which, the city operates 4 battlefield kitchens, providing 24,000 meals/day/2 meals for people and support forces in severely affected areas. At the same time, 10,000 life jackets and 691 tons of goods and essential necessities were donated.

Currently, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has temporarily stopped receiving relief goods. At the same time, it called for contributions to be prioritized to be converted to cash and transfers to support people to rebuild their lives after the flood.

Regarding the situation of mobilizing, receiving and distributing support sources, as of November 23, the City Relief Mobilization Committee has received 32,418 donations with an amount of more than 244 billion VND. By 8:00 a.m. on November 24, 2025, the unit had received 29,000 bags of household medicine, 70 tons of rice, 1,376 tons of necessities with a total value of more than 136.2 billion VND.

The unit has spent more than 190 billion VND to take care of goods worth more than 136.2 billion VND.

In particular, since November 21, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has established 18 reception points and 14 reception points of Metro Line 1. By 8:00 a.m. on November 24, 2025, 1,276 tons of essential goods and necessities sent by organizations and individuals to support people in the Central region affected by floods have been received. The unit promptly transported them to affected localities including Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong and Gia Lai.
