On July 21, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met with delegates attending the 6th Global Vietnam Young Intellectuals Forum in 2025.
At the meeting, the Vice President emphasized that through the stages of organization, the Forum not only arouses the sense of responsibility, love for the homeland and aspiration to contribute of young intellectuals, expresses the aspiration to " play a role in the world powers" that Uncle Ho always longes for; creates a space to connect young global intellectuals, spreads the spirit of innovation, and actively contributes to the development of the country.
Emphasizing the role of young intellectuals in " Solving the problem of national development", the Vice President suggested that young intellectuals - the country's elite and human resources, continue to promote national pride, patriotism, determine their mission, responsibility and honor to join hands in building the country in the new context, entering a new era.
Young intellectuals must grasp the trend of the times, be sensitive to domestic and international politics; set personal goals and aspirations, and link research projects with life to make real and effective contributions.
Noting some major issues facing the current Vietnamese socio-economic situation, the Vice President emphasized that young intellectuals should focus on researching "calculation" on the development of transport infrastructure, information technology, agricultural processing industry, bio-industry, building a national brand for Vietnamese rice; improving the physical and intellectual strength of Vietnamese people; developing cultural industries and high-value services such as finance, logistics; proactively adapting to natural disasters and climate change, especially in vulnerable areas such as the Central region, Mekong Delta...
The Vice President suggested that the Central Youth Union continue to maintain and develop the Forum as a platform to connect young intellectuals, creating an environment for exchange, sharing, spreading the spirit of creativity and giving advice for national development. Along with that, relevant ministries and branches need to coordinate to propose policies on talent promotion according to the direction of General Secretary To Lam.
With patriotism, will, courage and intelligence, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan believes that young Vietnamese intellectuals will continue to conquer new heights, making practical contributions to the cause of rapid and sustainable development, maintaining the socialist orientation and affirming Vietnam's position in the international arena.
The 6th Vietnam Young Intellectuals Global Forum in 2025 with the theme "Vietnam Young intellectuals Global contribute to the country entering a new era" was held from July 19 to 21 in Hanoi, to concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Through 5 editions, the Vietnam Young Intellectuals Global Forum attracted the participation of more than 1,000 young intellectuals at home and abroad; contributing to programs and policies related to the development of young Vietnamese talents.
