She said that she will propose effective solutions to urgent people's livelihood issues such as: Focusing on reflecting and proposing investment in upgrading transport infrastructure, improving drainage systems, limiting flooding; strengthening urban order management, ensuring environmental sanitation; paying attention to planning and renovating residential areas in a civilized, safe direction, suitable to urban development requirements.
In particular, the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation shared to promote economic development associated with improving people's income.
I will propose policies to support the economy of households, small traders, and small businesses; create conditions for access to capital, market information and skills training; develop trade and services suitable to local characteristics, contributing to creating stable jobs" - she said.
In addition, ensuring social security and improving the quality of life was also clearly stated by the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation. She will pay attention to policy families, people with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households and vulnerable groups; propose to improve the quality of grassroots health care, education, and cultural and sports activities in residential areas, so that all people can enjoy the fruits of development.
In her role as Chairwoman of the City Labor Federation, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai will continue to propose solutions for sustainable employment, improving working conditions, improving welfare, paying attention to social housing and facilities serving workers; contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations; promoting gender equality and caring for women and children.
She expressed that People's Council deputies not only participate in policy decisions, but more importantly, must represent the voice of the people, protect the legitimate rights of the people and be responsible to the people.
