According to the Plan agreed upon with the City Election Commission, voter contact activities to mobilize elections will be widely deployed with a large number of meetings at electoral units. Specifically, for candidates for the 16th National Assembly, the city will organize contact conferences at 7 electoral units, taking place from March 3 to March 6. 3. For candidates for the 17th City People's Council, the contact schedule will be implemented at 18 electoral units, starting from March 9 and ending on March 11.
The form of election campaigning this year continues to be innovated in a flexible direction, closely combining live and online conferences to ensure widespread connection.
At conferences, candidates will directly present the action program at a main bridge point located at the headquarters of the People's Committees of wards and communes, then the content will be transmitted online to auxiliary bridge points in neighboring areas within the same constituency. To ensure the effectiveness of propaganda, each direct bridge point requires the participation of at least 100 voters, while online bridge points will have at least 50 voters participating.
Regarding the content of the action program, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City noted that candidates need to develop a concise draft, no more than 5 A4 pages and present it in about 7-10 minutes. The basic content must include a short introduction about themselves, understanding of the responsibility of people's representatives and especially specific promises about the tasks to be carried out to resolve the legitimate aspirations of voters.
Candidates need to come up with feasible solutions linked to their professional strengths and the actual situation of the locality, and especially note not to promise content beyond their ability to implement. Besides content, presentation skills such as confidence, voice and interaction are also considered important factors to create trust and good impressions on voters at meetings.
