On the afternoon of October 19, the People's Committee of Bao Lam 2 commune (Lam Dong province) said that the unit is focusing on disbursing compensation for site clearance for households in the Dai Nga bridge area on National Highway 20.

The land acquisition is to hand over the site to the construction unit to complete the bridge connecting National Highway 20 with Dai Nga bridge, preparing to open to traffic in the near future.
The total area of land recovered to build a connecting road to Dai Nga bridge (recently built to replace the old bridge) is 2,787.8m2.

Of which, there are 131.6m2 of residential land, 1,798.9m2 of agricultural land and 857.3m2 of road land. The total compensation cost is nearly 4 billion VND. There are 5 households subject to compensation that have received more than 1.6 billion VND.
Currently, there is 1 household with a compensation amount of more than 1 billion VND that has agreed but has not yet received the money. The local government is mobilizing this household to receive compensation in the coming time.

According to the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, Dai Nga bridge is a project to renovate the section through Mimosa pass and some works on National Highway 20.
The project was approved by the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction) with a total investment of 441 billion VND, implemented in the period of 2023-2025.
To date, the route through Mimosa Pass, about 10.4km long, has been completed; 10/11 bridges have been handed over construction sites, 9/11 bridges have been completed.
Dai Nga Bridge will be completed by the end of 2024 to replace the old Dai Nga Bridge on National Highway 20. However, due to problems with the site clearance for connecting roads, it cannot be put into use.
Meanwhile, thousands of vehicles are still traveling through the old Dai Nga bridge every day, which was already cramped and seriously degraded, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to closely coordinate with local authorities, speed up compensation, site clearance, and soon complete Dai Nga bridge.
This is to ensure the progress and quality of the entire National Highway 20 route through the area and safety for traffic participants.
After receiving the reclaimed site, the construction unit is urgently constructing the connecting road, striving to open the Dai Nga bridge to traffic as soon as possible.
