On August 30, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Dak Lak Province Police said that the unit is coordinating to investigate and verify the cause of the traffic accident that killed one person.
On the other hand, the unit is also clarifying whether the details of the truck driver leaving the scene after the collision were intentional or accidental.
According to initial information, at around 9:15 p.m. on August 29, Mr. N.M.V (26 years old, residing in Tuy An Bac commune) was driving a motorbike with license plate 78H1-125.21 on National Highway 1A, South - North direction.
When arriving at Binh Chinh village (Tuy An Bac commune), Mr. V's motorbike collided with a truck with license plate 50H-606.37 driven by Mr. N.T.A (38 years old, residing in Gia Lai), which was stopped next to the right side of the road in the South - North direction.
Notably, the location of the truck's parking is an area with signs prohibiting stopping and parking. The strong collision caused Mr. V to fall onto the road and die on the way to the emergency room.
Initially, the authorities determined that Mr. V lacked attention when driving a motorbike. Meanwhile, Mr. A stopped his car in the wrong place.
The results of the quick test showed that driver A did not violate alcohol or drug concentrations. Currently, the authorities are waiting for the results of the alcohol and drug test in the blood of victim V.
Regarding the truck driver's departure from the scene, a responsible officer said that it could not be confirmed whether this act was intentional or unintentional because the incident was under investigation.
At the time of the accident, the road had many vehicles, causing the security cameras in the area to be obscured, making it difficult to extract images for verification.
