According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 AM on August 26, the center of the tropical depression (weakened from storm No. 4) was located at about 20.8 degrees North latitude - 110.8 degrees East longitude, in the sea area east of Leizhou Peninsula (China).
The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 7 (50-61 km/h), gusting at level 9. The tropical depression is moving in the Northeast direction at a speed of about 20 km/h.
Forecast for the next 12 hours, the tropical depression will move in a North-Northeast direction at a speed of 20 - 25 km/h and gradually weaken into a low pressure area.
By 7:00 PM on August 26, the center of the low pressure area will be located at about 23.2 degrees North latitude - 111.3 degrees East longitude; on land in the Southeast of Guangxi province (China). Wind intensity will decrease to below level 6.
The dangerous area is located about the north of the 20th parallel of the North latitude; from the 110th to 112th parallel of the East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the Northwest of the Northern East Sea area.
Regarding the impact of the tropical depression at sea, the northwest sea area of the Northern East Sea today still has strong winds of level 6 - 7, gusts of level 9, waves 2 - 4m high; strong rough seas.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous area are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
