The Central and Southern Highlands will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night, while the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; sunny during the day.
The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has made a statement on notable weather trends in some areas from the night of August 8 to August 16.

The Northern region from August 9 to 11 is likely to experience widespread hot weather; from August 11 to 13, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and night, with some places having heavy rain.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang, the east of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa from August 9 to 12 will have hot weather, some places will have severe heat.
Other areas will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; the Central and Southern Plateau from about August 9 to 10 in the late afternoon and evening will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.
