Lam Dong - Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds caused an ancient pine tree about 20m high to be uprooted and fall onto fences and corrugated iron roofs of people's houses in Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat.

On September 1st, functional forces of Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat (Lam Dong) said that they had just sawn and removed an ancient pine tree that fell on Tran Quang Dieu street, ensuring safety for people.

Previously, at about 7 am on the same day, a 30-year-old 3-leaf pine tree in the campus of the Lam Dong Provincial Association of the Blind was suddenly uprooted by the wind and fell into a residential area.

At the scene, a pine tree about 20m high, with a trunk diameter of about 0.4m fell on the fence of Mr. Pham Dai Viet's house. The top of the tree continued to fall onto the corrugated iron roof of a adjacent household.

The tree branch also damaged some power lines and telecommunication cables on Tran Quang Dieu street. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties.

Upon receiving the news, functional forces of Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat quickly arrived, coordinated with relevant units to zone and handle the scene.

At about 9:30 am on the same day, the pine tree was sawn off and moved out of the area, clearing the scene, limiting the risk of unsafety for people and vehicles passing by.
